As standard, specific packing methods cannot be requested. 

However, if you wish to request fragile item packing, or outsourced packaging for items that are not as standard selected for such packing, please contact our customer service team along with your order number, prior to instructing your item into a shipment.

* Please note that opting for fragile or outsourced packaging may increase the package size and weight, potentially raising the international shipping cost. Additionally, please be aware that changes or cancellations cannot be made after the request has been processed.

Items are packed using strong, high-resistence plastic shipping bags to keep size & weight to a minimum

Shrink Wrapping

This is a packaging method you may recognize from items received from your local Amazon. This is where the item is placed on a backing board, and a heat-shrink film is used to secure the product to the board.

Traditionally, cushioning materials were placed inside boxes to secure the product, but during transit, external impacts often compress the cushioning, which in turn affect the product and can lead to items being damaged. 

On the other hand, shrink wrapping secures the product inside the shipping box, preventing movement during international transport. Additionally, by intentionally creating space inside the box instead of using cushioning, it absorbs shocks and prevents direct damage to the product. This design ensures that products are delivered in a safe manner.

Fragile Item Packing

This is a packaging method that uses cushioning material on all six sides and double-layered cardboard for added protection.

Applicable items: Fragile items such as liquor and precision equipment.

* For some items, instead of double packaging, inflateable air cusion known as "Air Muscle" may be used.

Outsourced Packing

This is a packaging method where a professional packing service uses specialized cushioning material and wooden boxes for packaging. (Additional packaging fees will apply.)

Applicable items:  Items weighing 50kg or more, or items weighing 30kg or more and valued at 300,000 yen or more.

* Even if the product does not meet the specified conditions, items that are deemed difficult to package at our logistics center may also require outsourced packaging.
