By default, we will decide the item description and HS code that will be shown on the documents we send with your item.  But should you wish to request a specific description or HS code, please contact the Customer Service after the item has arrived at our warehouse but before finalizing your shipping instructions, in order to provide us with a complete description of your items in the following format: Example: s1087535079: Books, HS Code Important notes for HS Code change requests: Please do not use commas, special characters, or other separators in the main description. Only the HS code should be separated by a comma. Additional descriptions may be added by our warehouse staff if necessary. If there is any information that absolutely must not appear, please let us know before paying Charge 2. To avoid errors caused by manual entry, please limit your request to a maximum of 10 item IDs per message. There should be a space between the colon (:) and the description, and the colon should be placed directly after the ID (with no space between the ID and the colon). The full description must not exceed 40 characters, including the ID (or auction number), the colon, and the space after it. This is to ensure it prints correctly on the shipping invoice. Please make sure that the description is accurate and matches the actual item. * Do not submit your shipping instructions until the changes have been confirmed by our team.

Regarding international shipping, items must go through both export and import procedures before arriving in the destination country. First, an export inspection is conducted by Japanese customs. For a list of commonly prohibited items for international shipment, please refer to the page here. Once an item passes the export inspection, it will be shipped. However, please note that customs regulations and import laws vary by country, and in some cases, import may not be permitted. To confirm whether your purchased item can be imported, please check with the customs authority in your country or conduct an online search. In some cases, it may be necessary to prepare specific documents in advance. * Please note that FROM JAPAN is unable to provide customs-related documents such as certificates of origin, safety data sheets, or other documentation specific to certain products or categories. https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/use/restriction/not_send_en.html#main As a reference, please review the examples provided by Japan Post at the link above. You may also contact the local office of your chosen shipping carrier. They may be able to assist with required documentation or customs procedures for import. Malaysia: Adult-related items are not permitted for import. Indonesia: Used items cannot be imported without an import license.

Any VAT or other such consumption taxes imposed by the destination country must be paid by the customer upon delivery. When shipping packages to certain countries such as Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand, you may be required to prepay VAT, such as GST or SST during Charge 2. In such cases, FROM JAPAN pays the VAT on your behalf, so in principle, you do not need to pay VAT again when the package arrives in the destination country. However, in rare cases, the selected shipping carrier or local customs may request VAT payment again. If this happens, we kindly ask that you make the payment first. After completing the payment, please contact our customer service with the following information: A screenshot showing the actual amount charged by the bank or shipping company A screenshot of the invoice or payment receipt received locally Once we confirm the above, we will begin the refund process and issue a refund to your original payment method.

Once the product has been shipped from our logistics center and arrives in the destination country, customs clearance will be carried out as part of the import procedures. If there is no change in the customs clearance status for several days or more, there may be a delay or an issue. As we are not affiliated with customs authorities in each country, we are unable to provide detailed support for customs procedures. However, the handling may differ depending on the chosen shipping method. Japan Post Japan Post is responsible for shipping within Japan and up to the point of departure FROM JAPAN. Once the package arrives in the destination country, customs clearance and delivery will be handled by the local postal service. Therefore, for inquiries regarding customs clearance, please have your tracking number ready and contact the local customs office or postal service directly. FedEx/ DHL/ UPS/ECMS These shipping carriers have local offices or branches in many countries. They may contact the recipient directly or provide instructions to us (the sender) if any action is required. If you do not receive any contact from the shipping carrier, we recommend reaching out to the local customer support of the respective carrier directly, with your tracking number on hand. ⚠️ Please note that regardless of whether your package was shipped under DDP or DDU terms (see here), any documentation requested by your local customs office for import clearance must be provided by the importer. We therefore kindly ask that you contact the delivery carrier in your country, as advised above, to proceed.

Orders are consolidated based on three different categories: 1. Regular shopping sites with their own domains: When you enter an item URL, it is categorized as a unique order and placed in your shopping cart. If you add other items from the same site to your cart, they will automatically be grouped together. Your Charge 1 will then reflect the combined total of these item prices. If the Charge 1 payment for the combined items is made as a single transaction, our purchasing team will order the items together and consolidate them. 2. Yahoo! Japan Auctions: Items can be consolidated automatically if the winning bids meet all of the following conditions: 1. The items must be won from the same seller. 2. The items must be won on the same day. 3. The seller must agree to our consolidation request. * For Yahoo! Japan Auctions, a "day" does not end at midnight (JST). Instead, a day begins at 18:00 and ends at 17:59 the following evening. * Domestic shipping and payment fees cannot be combined for items won using different Yahoo! IDs. Generally, the same ID is used for bidding; however, there are cases where your bid may be placed using a different ID for the following reasons:  ・Another FROM JAPAN user is bidding on the same auction.  ・A specific ID has become unusable on Yahoo! Japan Auctions. * If the seller refuses our request, the items will incur separate domestic shipping fees, even if won on the same day. 3. Flea Markets (Rakuma, Mercari, etc.): Unfortunately, due to how these sites are configured, it is not possible to consolidate items even if they are purchased from the same seller. Each order is treated separately and cannot be consolidated. As explained above, orders processed under a single Charge 1 payment will be grouped and consolidated. Once they arrive at our warehouse, they will appear on your account as a single group and cannot be separated. We are unable to split grouped items; if you wish to ship certain items separately, please complete their Charge 1 payments individually.

Other Taxes and Fees is  charge only applied when selecting for shipping using DDP The types of fees incurred under this will differ depending on the country. These are set up the customs rules of each destination. The main fees which will appear here can be found (but are not limited to) below: United States of America Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) applied by your countries customs office.   Section 301 Tariffs (see details here) Any other "non-ordinary tariff" duties Europe European Union Handling Fee (UHF) - €2.00 / Item EU Low-Value Import Charge - €3.00 / Item (only applicable for items with a value of under €150) This will be charged on each item, and not each unique HS-code.
